The Meads End of Summer Fair

Your parish council is bringing you an afternoon of entertainment down at The Meads!

With live music, a DJ, children’s entertainer, and various stalls, you can sit back and enjoy food from the barbecue and drinks from a licensed bar with your neighbours and friends. On-site parking available.

With tickets priced at just £1 and under fives FREE, you’d be mad to miss it!

All proceeds will go towards fundraising for vital defibrillators for Great Hormead, Hare Street, and Little Hormead.

The election timetable, nomination papers and information about standing for
election as a Parish Councillor, are available on the Electoral Commission website at

Nomination papers can be requested from electors@eastherts.gov.uk
Deadline for completed nomination papers is 4.00pm on Tuesday 4th April 2023

Festive lights at the meads

For the first time this Christmas Hormead Parish Council organised a very colourful Christmas display at the Meads Recreational ground for everyone to enjoy. The tree made a fabulous seasonal focal point for the parish of Hormead who came together for a short carol singing event, which was held in line with Covid-19 government guidelines. Following the success of this year’s event Hormead Parish Council hope to do the same next year.

The Battle’s Over

Duke of Edinburgh

The Council and residents of Hormead extend condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and members of the Royal Family.
